Synopsis

After losing her parents, the heroine moves in with her godmother, Aunt Sandra. She grows up under Sandra’s roof alongside her two sons — the Miller brothers — surrounded by love and care. For years, it’s simple: she thinks she’ll end up with one of them. But everything changes when the choice stops being theoretical, and a childhood arrangement turns into an adult love triangle with nowhere to hide.

The cast includes Luke Dodge, and like the other titles on this list it’s a ReelShort original filmed in English — the show page confirms it’s neither dubbed nor AI-generated.

Why it works

Most love triangles are built on strangers colliding. This one is built inside a family — which raises the stakes of every choice. Picking one brother means wounding the other and straining the relationship with the woman who raised you like her own daughter. That built-in guilt engine gives the melodrama something to bite into beyond just “who’s hotter,” and it lets the show spend time on tenderness as well as tension: these people genuinely care about each other, which makes every betrayal hurt more.

The found-family opening also earns the audience’s patience. Thirteen free episodes is a generous window, and it needs to be — the show invests its early episodes in making you believe in this household before it starts breaking it apart.

Watch out for

The first stretch is heavy on domestic warmth before the drama kicks in, so it takes longer to ignite than the punchier titles on this list. If you need a hook in episode two, adjust expectations — this one plays the long game. And the title is a warning in itself: “when I’m gone” suggests the ending costs something, so don’t go in expecting a light watch.
